East Bierley Cricket Club experienced a year of highs and challenges. The club’s second XI earned promotion to Division A of the Bradford Premier League, marking a successful season.
The celebrations were followed by setbacks when winter storms damaged the clubhouse roof. In response, players, members and supporters organised a fundraising campaign to cover repair costs.
A sponsored 12-mile walk from Emley Moor Mast to the club helped raise funds, alongside an online appeal supported by local businesses. The response highlighted the strong community backing behind the club.
